Undeniably, we are still in the midst of bizarre times and makeup is certainly not in our top priorities. Nonetheless, 2021 will be the year for everything eyes and lashes (our only feature that actually shows) and so the longer and more lifted, the better.
First choice on my eye list is kohl eyeliners. You can create stunning looks that bring out your eyes creating smoking hot eye looks. My all-time favourite is none other than the Best Seller Teddy Intense Bronze by MAC. An eye liner with rich colour and a silky smooth, matte/pearl finish which allows you to wear it from morning to night. Another brand that has amazing eyeliners is Givenchy and I just love Magic Kohl Eye Liner Pencil in Coffee – dark brown. Just draw a line as close to your lashes as you can and then smudge it using an angled brush dragging it a bit outwards to create a more natural and subtle look!
Next up are mascaras! Even though we’ve all had to keep inside to be protected, mascara has definitely been the only product I have not stopped using. Putting on just one coat of mascara during my daily facial routine makes me feel good and lifts my spirits. Lashes can look thicker, longer, or both, depends on what you like! I was recently given to try the Smokey Eye Mascara by Bobbi Brown and now I am hooked! What it does is build volume lash by lash as opposed to other formulas that create the appearance of volume by clumping lashes together.
Maria was recently given Lash Idole by Lancôme and has fallen in love with it. She has short, blonde lashes that are immediately transformed into long natural ones after application. This is another mascara you need to try out.
I’ve always been one that likes to try things out to find out for myself if I like them or not! So why not try adding some colour to those eyelashes and stir away the all-time safe colour – black! In my makeup case I have a turquoise coloured mascara by MAC that I absolutely love! In general, blue mascara is so complementing to the eyes and it’s not as loud or crazy looking as one might think. Diorshow Mascara by Dior has a wonderful blue hue that you simply can’t resist!
