I 100% disagree with the misconception that expensive products must be better than inexpensive ones. In some cases, it’s true but money does not always correlate with quality. There are some incredible natural, low-priced products on the market, which I will share with you in another article, but today we will focus on products that are indeed expensive and also worth the splurge.
Amala
This highly acclaimed, newly redesigned and reformulated spa brand is one of my favorite brands that I use on my face. Every single product is clinically proven to work, which is extremely rare for natural products to be clinically tested. Their formulations are luxuriously modern, their scents are sophisticated, and the experience of using them is the closest thing to a spa experience. They are truly beautiful.
I recently bought the Amala Silkening Creamy Moisture Cleanse (which yes, it cost me a fortune and no I can’t afford it but did anyway) and I can confidently say it is the best wash-off cleanser I’ve ever used in my life and I don’t think I can find a better one because it ticks all my boxes so there is no way it can be improved.
✓It’s a delicious creamy silky consistency that does NOT foam, not even a little bit, which automatically makes it a non-drying formula
✓The scent is subtle, relaxing and spa-like
✓It washes off without any residue. It just leaves your skin clean and balanced.
✓Luxurious packaging.
What else do you need? If you are looking for a new cleanser and have the budget, you wont be disappointed with this one.
May Lindstrom
It’s a brand that values the sacredness of cleansing rituals as much as I do and for that only I have huge respect for May and her team. The ingredients that are used are guaranteed to be of the highest potency and are reliably fresh. From pure plant oils, minerals and herbs, the formulations are not extremely complicated but extremely effective. May has created undoubtedly my all time favorite mask, which I’ve previously talked about in many of my articles, the “Problem Solver”. It’s the most active and effective mask I’ve ever tried in terms of decongesting pores and calming any inflammation on the skin. You see the results as soon as you wash it off, and that’s why I love it so much. There are so many expensive masks on the market that claim to do everything but do nothing. If you have the money then at least spend it on something that really works.
The “Problem Solver” comes in a huge jar of powdery magic and you’ll need to then mix it with a liquid to form a mouse-like consistency, which means you get a fresh batch every time you use it. It also comes in a huge jar, it will last you a year.
Rahua
Rahua, a hair care brand with a great story and amazing results. Their hero products are the original shampoo and conditioner that leave the hair shiny, glossy, untangled, silky, and healthy. The key ingredient that makes this brand so special is the tree nut oil rahua (ungurahua) that grows only in the Amazon rainforest. It is discovered and used by the indigenous people from the Quechua-Shuar tribe. The founder of the brand visited the tribe and noticed that all women had amazingly long and healthy hair. They have remarkable sustainability ethics, which you can read more about here if you are interested.
I would recommend the shampoo and conditioner to people who have thick, frizzy, dry, coloured hair with a normal to dry scalp. You will absolutely fall in love, I promise!
