We are under the impression that by the time we hit 40 we have everything under control! What happens though when that dreadful pimple pops-up out of nowhere? Many of us think that acne is a puberty problem – at least that’s what I thought! However, acne is a problem that can actually follow us well into our 30s, and even 40s! In fact, acne at 40 is quite a common problem and the reasons behind it are usually a combination of hormonal fluctuations, stress – both physical and environmental, too much sugar intake, clogged pores from oil-based products or bacterial build-up within the skin.
Fortunately, I was quite lucky as I cleared up fast and with over the counter products because I realised what was causing it! Since I suffer from super dry skin, I thought it was best I replaced my regular night cream with an intense moisturizing oil which I happened to use every night!
