I know that we’re all locked up but we’re going to get out soon.  I also know that we’re all a bit stressed with the situation, which often leads to overeating a bit (or, in my case, a lot!). I mean okay, that’s totally normal, right? What else should we be doing?

…Well, it’s all nice and comfy now that we are staying inside, wearing pyjamas and sweatpants, but the truth is when we get out, the weather will be boiling hot and our sweatpants will be replaced with shorts and bikinis. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not the “I’m-going-on-a-diet-to-fit-my-bikini” kind of girl, but truth is, I’ve gained weight in places I wouldn’t imagine during this quarantine!

I can see that summer is near and there is plenty of fat that needs to be burned ASAP. I’m not planning to start jogging anytime soon, so I’ve figured out how to burn some fat quicker by drinking water. These are the 5 best detox waters to help us.

  1. Lemon And Mint Detox Water: Lemon is the most used fruit during summertime. Lemon boosts weight loss and also helps in rejuvenating your skin. Add a few leaves of mint to the mix and you have the ultimate detox drink that will cool you down naturally, aid in weight loss, maintain digestive health and keep you hydrated.
  2. Cucumber Detox Water: Cucumber is a rich source of vitamin B, potassium and magnesium. It’s an essential diet addition during the season with detoxifying properties and is also low in calories. Cucumber can help in weight loss as it curbs appetite and is full of satiating fiber.

However, if I have to be completely honest with you, these detox drinks don’t work if you have burgers and milkshake for dinner every night. It is important to remember that for a complete detox of your body, you have to watch your diet and maybe get off that couch too.
