I recently stumbled upon this awesome, celebrity doctor Daniel Amen, a psychiatrist, brain disorder specialist, bestselling author, and Neuroscientist. If you haven’t heard of him it’s worth listening to the podcast episode they made with Spiritual thinker and ex-monk, Jay Shetty.

It’s packed with so much information on how to improve our brain and what we do daily that damages it.

After researching Dr.Amen’s work, I went crazy with all the content I read, it was so informative but for now let’s concentrate on some delicious food that improves our brain health.

10 BRAIN FOODS to consume on a daily basis

  • Almond milk
  • Avocados
  • Dark Chocolate
  • Blackberries (and all berries)
  • Broccoli
  • Grapefruit
  • Walnuts
  • Olive oil
  • Coconut oil
  • Quinoa

Personally, I’ve been eating only 4 of the above on a regular basis so this is a good reminder for me to add other brain food to my diet!

There is enough scientific evidence (neuroscience) that shows us our brains can indeed stay young but we do have to take care of it!

 Leave it to luck and we increase the risk of brain damage or diseases, whether its simple lack of memory, inability to concentrate or something serious like Alzheimer’s.
