As the days here on the island seem to be getting hotter by the minute, foundation seems impossible for me. I don’t really like to feel ‘heavy’ products on my skin when it’s really hot so as an alternative I simply love using my tinted moisturizer by Bobbi Brown which is quite sheer and light but at the same time if I top it with the right powder I get just about the right coverage I need for a night out. The market is full of foundation alternatives…BBs, CCs, tinted moisturizers the whole works. The question is, what’s the difference between them and which one is best for you?
Tinted moisturizer
Tinted moisturizers come with SPF and I think they are the best solution to getting smooth , slightly sheer coverage with effective sun protection at the same time. Although I say sheer they do tend to even out skin tone nicely. The reason I love wearing tinted moisturizer is because I’m not used to wearing heavy foundation plus I’m always in a hurry so it saves time in my get-ready routine since it’s basically liquid makeup and moisturizer all in one!
BOBBI BROWN’S Nude Finish Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 has a sheer and ultra-light formula which provides just enough coverage to make skin look like its best nude (that means freckles show through, but redness and unevenness disappear). Nourishing moisturizers hydrate skin for a plump, radiant finish, while SPF 15 provides perfect everyday protection.
BB Cream
BB, or “beauty balm” creams moisturize, protect, and even out skin discolorations. Their formulas are generally lighter than foundation but thicker than tinted moisturizer.

CC Cream
Unlike the multitasking BB creams the CC creams “color correction” usually offer sun protection and more coverage. Because CC creams offer more coverage than BB creams, they tend to have thicker, heavier formulas.
