Black Velvet, if you please and Velvety wine, if you drink!

Did you know? Wine can be Velvety, Silky and Creamy.

Do you have any idea what I mean?

Velvety Wine: think lush, smooth, silky textures. Imagine diving into a perfectly smooth, melted, shiny chocolate bath. Yummy.

Silky: a word used to describe red wine’s soft feeling of taste. It describes a wine whose tannins are soft and feel velvety. Again, think of silk bed sheets that force you to stay in bed ALL-DAY-LONG!

Creamy: mostly used to describe white wine as well as sparkling wine that spends time maturing in barrels. This aging period, gives them a distinct taste of creaminess accompanied by some trademark aromas, such as brioche, butter and toasted bread.  This creamy feeling can also be identified in wine because of the Malo-Lactic conversion which is basically part of a wine making technic.

Crème de la crème!

See you next week!

Until then.. Strike for a glass half full !
