“…tis the season to be jolly…” With Christmas being in just 2 days, we should all be up to date with our to-do lists! (Ok, truth be told, I’m not!) The only thing I know, is that I’m make up ready! Want to be too?
- Sweat-proof your foundation
Foundation should be your number one priority to create a perfect and long-lasting base for your party look. One of my current favourites is DIOR BACKSTAGE FACE & BODY FOUNDATION because it creates an instantly flawless complexion with ultra-buildable coverage, from a natural nude glow to high-coverage perfection. Top the foundation with a translucent powder and you are good to go.
- Go for red
Christmas is all about the reds and what better way to celebrate than wearing a bold red! Another current favourite is D FOR DANGER by MAC which is a brick red creamy rich lipstick formula with high colour payoff in a no-shine matte finish.
- Smoke it…don’t cat eye it
Eyeliners are great but since these festive parties tend to go all night long the chances of it staying in place are slim to none and it will end up disappearing as the night goes on. Instead, opt for a glittery smokey eye that will last you all night long and it is definitely low maintenance – you don’t want to run back and forth all night fixing that eyeliner!
- Carry the essentials
Undoubtedly, you will need to touch up your powder and lipstick during the night, so it’s a good idea to carry them with you. All you’ll need is a pressed powder like BLOT POWDER / PRESSED by MAC a pressed powder that adds minimal colour and texture and offers a very sheer finish and your lipstick to remove some of the excess oiliness and retouch your lips after drinking a few glasses of champagne.
