Us MUAs have a strong desire to lean towards ‘Lazy Makeup ideas’. Any makeup idea if applied correctly, can only enhance your looks but the ‘lazy’ idea promotes what I like best…makeup but no makeup!

The first thing you need to have in mind this summer is the need for clean skin! Many of the famous runway makeup artists are not so hot on foundation this season so they prefer to keep skin foundation-free and in its place they suggest adding a touch of concealer only on the spots where it is truly needed. If, you feel you can’t go out without a layer of something opt for a lightweight, airy formula, like the Nude Finish Tinted Moisturizer by Bobbi Brown or the Tinted Moisturizer with botanical extracts by Sisley. Both these products are lightweight and their moisturizing texture delivers natural looking, dewy skin with a tint of color that enhances skin.

The next thing to have in mind is glowing skin. Forget any matte trends because this summer is all about the glow; a healthy and natural gleam. This season cheekbones and foreheads need soft highlighting. Opt for a touch of liquid or cream luminizer as opposed to powder highlighters since liquids give a more natural sheen as if the skin glows from within.  Try Fluid Sheer in Beige or Rose Pale Scintillant by Giorgio Armani.

The bronzer is back and I love it! We need to get that light tan we get at the very beginning of summer. The idea is to get a sun kissed look! My all-time favourite bronzer is none other than Terracotta Bronzing Powder by Guerlain.

The eyes for this ‘lazy makeup’ idea are not intense. The colour that prevailed the most on the runways was pink and was used on both eyelids and cheekbones. If you plan on using pink have in mind that it is best to create a simple monochromatic look using cool-toned pink eyeshadow and a more neutral pink for the cheeks and lips. I suggest Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Pink Sparkle by Bobbi Brown for the eyes while for the cheeks I like to use Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul by MAC because it’s a mid-tone beige with gold pearl and gives the cheek a washed, fresh looking appearance.

For the lips I suggest a washed out, sheer effect so I advise you to try Extra Lip Tint by Bobbi Brown for lips to look ‘just-bitten pink’.

Lazy but sexy ladies!

‘Till next week…
