‘The Elf on the Shelf® is a fun-filled Christmas tradition that has captured the hearts of children everywhere who welcome home one of Santa’s Scout Elves each holiday season. The magical Scout Elves help Santa manage his naughty and nice lists by taking note of a family’s Christmas adventures, and reporting back to Santa at the North Pole nightly. Each morning, the Scout Elf returns to its family and perches in a new spot, waiting for someone to spot them. Children love to wake up and race around the house looking for their Scout Elf each morning.’

So, mummies with children, bring the magic into your homes from 1/12 because my children loved waking up and looking for Elfie to see what naughty thing he’d got up to! Yes, our Elfie got up to mischief during the night and it was magical to see the look on my children’s faces when they found him in the morning!

They were not to touch him of course, otherwise he’d vanish! Ok, whimsical me thought I’d be in with the times and posted pictures on Instagram of ‘snow angel’ Elfie ( Elfie lying in a heap of flour) therefore killed it for my eldest son. I found myself lying through my front teeth trying to cover up my mistake. I still believe in magic and I want them to do the same.

Christmas is indeeed a magical time of year and living these moments through your children is 1000000 better than living through them as a child.

I can’t wait for him to show up this year!

You can tell Santa’s Official Scout Elves apart from other elves at the North Pole because they arrive in their official solid red jumpsuit with their very own storybook called The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition
